I remember Gary and Tina (and family) as I was their babysitter a few times when the children were small. Over in Ballard on 12th NW. Gary and his mischievous laugh with the matching grin. My Mother with her Dutch accent used to happily say of that look "he had the devil dancing in dem eyes!"

He loved to make me blush when I was a teenager and even after I was grown and brought my children over to me he and Tina, he could still make me blush.

Gentle hugs to Tina and family.

Hey family. I wish I would have made it back from overseas in time to make it out and see you all. Please know you have been and still are in my prayers. I will surely miss Uncle Gary. We always lived so far away and didn't see him nearly enough, but every visit was a great memory. He has always shown such love for all his family, and we will really miss him.

I will really miss my big brother. It seems like we never had enough time together. I remember the many times he was stuck "babysitting" his little sister. I will treasure my memories of times together. One I'd like to share...We came to visit when my John was 6. Cousin David's hair was totally "buzzed", John's was long. Uncle Gary suggested that he cut John's hair to match David's. John consented. The hair was cut. John was shocked! (luckily it grew back) Our family laughs about this now. Good memories. Titina, Gary, Luisa, and David we will be praying for you.

I feel priviledged to have spent an evening with Gary and Concetta recently. Nothing was more apparent than the love his children and grandchildren had for him. He will be greatly missed, but will live on forever through his family. God Bless You, Gary

Gary and the entire family were the best neighbors anyone could want, always there for babysitting Shira, kind, good humored, generous, and absolutely delightful. I have always admired the closeness of the Pankey family, and the values that Tina and Gary instilled in their children and grandchildren. Gary, you left a great legacy.

Gary was a friend for 33 years and a person who had a big impact in my life. Gary arranged the interview leading to my job at REI, a job that introduced me to some other very special friends and some amazing adventures. How could I forget the fishing trip to Westport with a charter boat full of our friends when he caught 6 cohoes, more than anyone else?! Or the time he and I got a ride in a Porsche Targa, the fastest production car in the world at the time, and the owner tried to prove it by doing 130 mph on I-405?! Or meeting William Ryan and having the opportunity to buy a small collection of his work, which I still own and cherish? He and his mischievous laugh will be missed dearly. I am so sorry Titina, and all of your family, for your untimely loss. David Barth

Harry/Dad,
No more shopping at Sams and Costco... now you can shop all day long at the big super store in the sky. We are so thankful Gracey got to meet her Grandaddy and spend time with you! We will frame the picture of you two right after she was born and we will make sure she always is reminded her of her Grandaddy Pankey that she only had for a short time. We know you are enjoying your time with your beloved doggy Max!
We love you dad and we miss you!

Gary was such an inspiration to my life - He inspired me to donate, what is now, over 23 years as a Reserve Police Officer in Los Angeles. I have always credited Gary for my strength as a police officer and I will remember him forever!
