Gerald A. ANDERSON Gerald (Jerry) Anderson, of Seattle, WA passed away at the age of 82 on Saturday, April 28, 2012. Born in Seattle, WA on February 20, 1930, Jerry graduated from Garfield HS in 1948, and enjoyed a 33 year career with the Boeing Company. He was a supportive member of the Rainier Beach community, over the years he volunteered as Southeast Little League president, Rainier Valley Swim Club president, Emerson Elementary Artist-in-Residence, and as an AARP Tax consultant. At Rainier Beach Presbyterian Church, Jerry helped coach basketball, tutor at risk kids, and served as the financial secretary for several years. Jerry's passion was art. His pen and inks and water colors are treasured additions in many of his friend's homes. He also loved to play cards, travel, and cruise with his wife Ginny. Jerry is survived by his wife of 61 years Virginia (Ginny), daughter Barbara, son Wade (Angela), and grandchildren Jamie and Wyre. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Rainier Beach Presbyterian Church, 9656 Waters Ave S, Seattle WA 98118 or Group Health Foundation Hospice Fund, PO Box 34015 Seattle WA 98124. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 4th at Rainier Yacht Club, 9094 Seward Park Avenue S., Seattle, WA 98118.
