I remember the time I took our Golden Retrever puppy Max to meet Pina. He climbed under the bed and wouldnt come out. Max passed a year and a half ago at 11 1/2 years on the same day I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. We now have a new English cream golden retriever named Sigi. We are all doing well and we send our best to Marv and Gioia.

I remember the first time I met Pina. I was on a business trip to Italy and Gioia had asked me to bring back some Sfogliatelle (a neopolitian pastry that was her favorite). I had some dificulty finding this pastry which I could neither spell nor pronounce. Finally, with the help of our Italian supplier, I was able find some. I had it packaged in dry ice and carried it on the airplane. I will never forget the reception I got when I dropped the Sfogiatelle at Pina and Marv's home. Pina had a smile that just illuminated the whole room.
This initial meeting lead to a long friendship with Marv and Pina which I will always value. When I brought my golden retriever, Max, she would always have treats for him. He would jump on the bed to give her a big kiss that she loved. Pina would then talk about Ginger and how much she had loved her dog.
I truly enjoyed my visits with Pina, and will always remember the light in her eyes and her sparkling personality.
