Gordon Anthony Obituary

Gordon Ballew ANTHONY Gordon Ballew Anthony passed March 30, 2011 at 64, from cancer. Dad passed as he wished, at home, with his family by his side. He was born in Seattle, grew up in Shoreline and raised his family in Lynnwood. Over the years dad spent his time coaching our sports teams from the time we were young until our teen years. Coaching included Baseball, Basketball and some Football seasons. He was an avid sports fan but enjoyed hunting, riding motorcycles (road trips/coal hills), boating and golfing with family and friends. There was not a sporting event he did not follow, watch or attend - for Dad we say "GO HUSKIES". Dad retired after 30 years with King County. He retired early and this let him spend a few years traveling through the U.S. and then settling in Wenatchee for the warmer climate. Dad returned to the Everett area, two years ago, to be closer to family. Dad was preceded in death by his mother Jennie, father William, and his brother Bill Anthony. He is survived by his daughter Tina Bunt (son-in-law Lewis Bunt), his son Dan Anthony, his grandchildren Tanner & Paige Anthony, Colton & Dylan Bunt and friend, Irene. In addition, he leaves behind his sister Cathleen, his sister Barbara and his brother Sie along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. "The Celebration of Life" will be held Sunday, May 1st, 2011 at the Everett Golf and Country Club from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Family & friends are welcome. Let's share those pictures and hilarious stories while we enjoy some of the provided refreshments. Donations can be made to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center of Seattle in the name of Gordon Anthony or you may donate at the "Celebration of Life" and all will be forwarded. Dad - thank you for always being there. You will be missed and forever remembered. All our Love, your children Tina and Dan.

Gordy and I were best friends back in 1958. We were about 12 years old and as kids that age, we had a lot of good times and did a lot of crazy things. We lived about three houses apart on 5th avenue, a block from Shoreline High School. My family moved and we lost touch over the years until around 1970 we ran into each other by chance. Once again we lost touch but I've thought of him often through the years. Gordy's brother, Sie, would remember me as Jerry Spoor as he went to Shoreline High with my sister, Valerie. My deepest sympathy goes out to Gordy's family. Sincerely, Gerald VanSpoor

Terri montgomery, formally Terri Scheuerman. Some of the family members know me by Terri Scheuerman. Gordy, was a true friend to our family. I have known him most of his life. I used to baby sit for his older brothers that lived close to us. He was such a part of our family. He was true best friends with my brothers, Fred and John. Playing baseball, hide and seek and so many memories. Gordy was like a big brother to me. He was sooo well liked by my mom and dad. He had the best wife ever, Irene. I remember her when they were dating and my brother Fred was dating Janet. They truly were a four some, doing everything together. I can still see all of Gordy's friends just doing crazy and wild things togeher as brothers and friends. That is what made them all so great together. Of course there were ups and downs, but who cares? He has many friends and family members to believe in his legacy. We Miss you Gordy. Will be in my heart forever.

We will always remember Gordie, coaching the boys little league baseball team to third place in the state. We lost touch over the years, but never forgot him. Sincere sympathy, Bert & Leola Richardson
