Hamlin J. Adams

Hamlin J. ADAMS Hamlin James Adams passed this life on February 2, 2011. He was born on March 11, 1922, in Fort Worth, Texas to Jennie V. Shields and James Adams, and was raised in Rockdale, Texas. Hamlin joined the Army at age 19. During WWII, he served in Europe. He was later stationed in Seattle where he met and married Osceola Hampton in 1949, before "shipping out" Korea. Hamlin later worked for the VA Hospital. He enjoyed working on his cars and fixing any and all things around the house, for both himself and his friends. He and Ossie loved to travel; they took annual cross-country car trips to visit relatives. Hamlin continued the trips after Ossie passed away in 1980. Hamlin accepted Christ, was baptized and became a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in 1968, where he was an active member until his passing. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 1634 - 19th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98122. Phone: 206-322-6500.
