Helen D. Carlson

Helen D. CARLSON Helen D. Carlson beloved widow of Walter A Carlson passed to her heavenly home at 1 am on March 29, 2011. She was born January 13, 1918 in Edgeley, ND daughter of Signa & Martin Johnson and later adopted by Claus & Fredia Olson. She met Walt in 1934 and they were married on February 11, 1936 in Pioneer, WA. They migrated to Seattle that same year to start their new life. She worked for Thayer Floor Company for 7½ years before they closed their business. Helen then went to work for Seattle City Light where she retired in 1978 after 20½ years. She was a loving mother to their only child, Marilynn Rae, who passed in 2004 and a beloved wife to Walter A. Carlson who passed in 2010. They were married for 74 ½ years. She is survived by her 4 loving granddaughters, Merrilee Rae (Carl), Leanne Gae (Dan), and son Justin, Lynette Kae and sons Joshua and Zachary, Sheri Vae (Dan) and daughters Kelsea and Lindsay. Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday April 1st @1:30 p.m. at Washelli Chapel, 11111 Aurora Avenue N. Seattle, WA 98133.
