Hideo Tokumasu, 92, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2013. Hideo was born on November 11, 1920 in Auburn, Washington. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Takako Tokumasu. Hide was an avid bass fisherman, a pickle ball enthusiast, and a dear uncle who entertained everyone with his fascinating stories.
After working at Holloway Candy Company in Chicago as an operations manager, he started his own business, a bass fisherman's pro shop called Lunker's Pro Shop. His clientele came from all over the Midwest. He and Tako also spent many memorable days at his beloved Chicago Bears and White Sox games.
When Hide and Tako returned to Seattle in 1983, his sports passion continued with the Seattle Mariners.
Per his wishes, there will not be a funeral or memorial service. At his request, as a WW II United States Army Veteran, donations can be made in his memory to Nisei Veterans Committee - 1212 South King St. Seattle, WA 98144.
