Ilene Edwards Obituary

Ilene J. EDWARDS Ilene Edwards was born on December 2, 1926 to Nels and Johanna Undi. Ilene grew up in Forks, Washington with her 3 brothers Stanley, Norman and Roland on the Bogachiel River until attending college at WSU. Ilene married Roland Edwards in 1952 and raised 3 boys David, Brad and Paul (Jessica) and was proud of her 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Ilene made a career in glass sales at Rainier Glass and Belnap Glass until she retired and enjoyed life taking walks and supplying blackberry jelly and clam chowder to her family and many friends at her home that her husband Roland built for her on Hood Canal. During Ilene's retirement she enjoyed hosting charitable luncheons and coordinating fund raisers for the Children's Orthopedic Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 10th, at 1:00 p.m. at the Stone Chapel in Poulsbo, please join us for a celebration of her life at the Poulsbo Sons of Norway Lodge. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Children's Orthopedic Hospital.

Goodbye, Aunt Ilene. I hope you spread as much joy and laughter in the next leg of your journey as you did in this one. I will miss you a great deal.

So sorry for your family's loss....she sounds like an amazing mom, grandmother and advocate for Children's Hospital. I would have loved to have met her.
