I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow. I knew Irwin through the Puget Sound Group of North West Painters.

I remember fondly coming to the Caplan house after school and watching Mr. Caplan sketch "wonderful things." From my parents, I received a Caplan pen and ink and on my 50th Birthday "Green Winter" the Caplan that my father, sister and I were lucky to obtain at one of Cap's shows. Today as I look at the Pen and Ink in my office, I flash back to all the fond memories of the Caplan family and my youth. What a wonderful exzmple he set for hard work and ddication to the arts. I am sure my father greeted Cap with open arms! Our thoughts are with you.
