James Petritz Obituary

James George PETRITZ, Sr. Jim Petritz passed away peacefully on September 27, 2009 with his family at his side. He now joins the love of his life, Katherine Therese Petritz (Sullivan). He was born in Butte, Montana on August 22, 1928 to Margaret Stefanich and Peter Petritz. He then married Katherine Sullivan on June 11, 1955, started a family, and moved to Bothell, Washington in 1960. Jim was not only well known as being an active member of the community, but a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother, brother-in law, and friend. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kay of 42 years, infant son, and loving siblings - Joey, Peachy, Margaret, Rudy, Lorraine, Teacha, Patty and Archie. He leaves behind his siblings - Martin (Big-Eye) Petritz and Patricia (Cookie) Petritz; children - James Jr. (Debbie), Lucy, Donny (Wendy), Joe (Jennifer), and Margaret (Eric); grandchildren - Christy (Kevin), Heidi, Erik, Andrew, Sam, Katie, and Ashley; and great granddaughter - Elliot. Jim is now spending time with his wife and getting the opportunity to catch up with family and friends that were waiting for his arrival. It was such a gift to share such a wonderful person with all of you. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 5, 2009 at 11:00a.m. at St. Brendan Church of Bothell. Remembrances may be made to St. Brendan Church, 10051 NE 195th St., Bothell, WA 98011; or Evergreen Hospice Services, 12822 NE 124th Lane, Kirkland, WA 98034. Thank you so much uncle Jim for being my God Father, being a big part of my family all of the dances that we danced are cherished memories now and they will always be deep in my heart! And then lets not forget the time you rescued me from the top of the green tree house when I was just a child. I don't think I would have never made it down with out your help! I will miss you! A wonderful guy has left us. Jim was one of the kindest big men around. And he was never heard to put down anyone, even when it was deserved. He raised a bunch of great kids & grandkids. If anyone makes it to heaven, he will.

We have so much love and respect for The Petritz Family. Jim's children and grandchildren are a testimony of just how special he was! They always surrounded him with love. He was a blessing to us, as a friend and a neighbor : ) We miss you Jim! Love, The Summers Fam.
