To Jim's family,
My sincerest condolences to you at such a difficult time. I had also never met Jim but through technology and a love of aviation we shared a common hobby. I'll miss that passion!
He will be missed by the aviation community around the world,
Steve

Dad,
Couldn't help but think about how much you would've liked tracking the inaugural 787 flight yesterday. I know you were watching...It made me smile watching the plane take off and land knowing you were viewing from above.

To Jim's Family,
I had the pleasure to work with Jim for many years at Boeing. He was a great guy to be around. Jim was the only Orangeman I knew at Boeing and we had this in common too as I went to high school in Syracuse and knew the SU area. My deepest sympathies.

To all of Jim's family,
Sadly we never knew Jim personally and never had the opportunity to meet. We knew him through his online 'Puget Sound Blog' and the information we exchanged. His assistance will always be gratefully remembered.
Our thoughts are with you all at this sad time.
