James "Jim" Roscoe Hassett|
James "Jim" Roscoe Hassett, age 89, passed away on December 20, 2013. He was born in Bass River, Massachusetts on March 5, 1924 to Roscoe and Edna Hassett. Graduated from High School in Hyannis Port, Ma. He served as a Navy airman in WWII in the South Pacific. Graduated as an Industrial Engineer from Miami University in 1952. While studying at University he met and married Claire Probert and a year later their son Michael was born on Sept. 4,1951. After a short stint with Pan American Airways the family moved across country to Seattle where Jim worked as an engineer with Boeing for most of his life. He is predeceased by his wife, Claire. Jim is survived by his son, Michael and his wife Cheri Hassett, adopted sons, San Moth, Sattia and his wife Chanthala Sear, Chey Prom and 5 grandchildren. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Hills Funeral Home in Bellevue, WA.
