Deloria, you probably don't remember me, I worked with Jim at the Seattle P-I. I was always thankful to Jim for talking me into going back into the Army with the Reserve at Fort Lawton. Because of Jim, I joined back up and put in a total of 21 years and now get an Army pension which really helps in these tough times and I feel I owe this part of my well being to Jim. Even though I lost contact with Jim later in years, I still remember him so well from our shifts at the good old P-I.

Dear Deloria and family,
It was a pleasure to know Jim through his relationship with my father, Robert Andrews. He was a pleasant person to be around, always willing to share conversation and good humor. I know that he will be missed by both family and many good friends. I enjoyed what time I was able to spend with him, especially during my father's recent visits. God bless and best wishes to you, Deloria, and the entire Schmit family. Respectfully,

Robert Andrews

Dear Deloria and family,
Jim was my special friend, and I enjoyed all of the fishing and camping trips we made, along with the many other good times we had over the past thirty-plus years. It has also been my pleasure to be your and your family's friend all of these years. I will miss Jim's presence in my life very much. Wishing you and your family the best in the future. God bless the entire Schmit family. With the utmost love and respect,

Dear Deloria, Linda, Steve and families. What a wonderful friend we had with "Its King James" as he would leave on my phone answering machine. He was not only my friend, but to all of my family. We have many wonderful memories, breakfast, social events with the KC and church events. Fun times at Tulleys with our cribbage games. Jim served his country in two wars and was a great inspiration to me and his many friends. Jim always talked lovingly about his family and how he enjoyed being with them. I have been lucky to be his friend..15-2 15-4 will miss you good friend.God bless.

Jim was a special person; time spent with him was to be cherished whether putting out a morning paper; hunting for big game or playing that special card game. May God welcome you to a higher call.
