Jan B. "JB" STEMPAK Jan B. Stempak ("JB"), born November 4, 1940 in Kehrsen, Germany, a 10 year resident of Leavenworth and formerly a long time resident of North Seattle, passed away April 28, 2011 at home in Leavenworth. He is survived by his partner of 20 years, Barbara Jones, sons Eric Stempak (Teresa) and Todd Stempak (Christen), grandchildren Abbi, Olivia and Lucas, brothers Stan Stempak (Chris) and Bruno Pirecki, his sons' mother Linda Punches and beloved cat Furface. JB loved fishing, golf, motorcycles, billiards and Yukon Jack. He was particularly proud of his volunteer service with Chelan County Fire District 3 and of attaining U.S. citizenship in 2008 at the age of 67. He was a member of Wenatchee Eagles Aerie No. 204 and a former member of North Seattle Eagles Aerie 4122. He had a big heart and generous soul and will be greatly missed. A celebration for JB will be held at a future date in Leavenworth.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
