Jason Gallaher Obituary

Jason P. GALLAHER 11/3/1970 ~ 1/19/2011 Jason persevered for ten years with a chronic liver condition and entered into Glory on January 19, 2011 following an acute illness. Jason was a devoted husband and father. He was a committed follower of Jesus and this showed in all aspects of his life. Jason's integrity, honor, professionalism, sense of humor and ability to always do the right thing, made him a role model for all that knew him. Jason and his wife Katie shared a love that was a true partnership. He was an incredi ble son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, grandson, colleague, neighbor, church member, and friend. Jason will be remembered for his musical abilities and his love for flying hot air balloons and airplanes. We love you, we will miss you, and are at peace in the confidence that we will see you again. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 28, 2011 at 4:30 PM at Cedar Park Assembly of God Church in Bothell. Jason was a great friend of mine through high school but we lost touch during college. I will remember Jason as a talented and passionate musician and a good friend. Will also remember the few times I followed him around ballooning support. So sorry to hear of his passing, my thoughts are with you.

Dear Gallaher family, I am sorry to hear of Jason's passing. I attended high school with Jason. He and I played trumpet in the marching band. I looked up to him as a mentor and will never forget his sense of humor and natural leadership. He was a kind soul and it showed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time. Please know that there are many others who will always remember him.

Even though I did not know Jason personally, I knew his other half. Both my kids and I have been blessed in so many ways by Katie. My heart is joyful that Jason rests peacefully, but is so sad for Katie and her young girls. Katie’s love for our Lord is infectious and she touches so many lives with this gift. It is amazing to read the other posts and learn that the same was true of Jason – an amazing couple.

Jason worked for me at two companies. He was by far the best hire I ever made. You could not find a smarter more dedicated employee than Jason. He and I shared the love of flight and talked often about his love of flying. He will truly be missed. He is with Jesus now and we will someday fly again together.

Katie and girls - grace to you. We are friends of the Fennells and have been praying for you all from Moscow where we live and serve. No words of ours can supply the strength that this hour requries. But we wanted you to know that we grieve with you in your loss. May God in His earliest timing comfort you and heal the grief, leaving you only with wonderful memories of a godly man. - The Richardsons

To Rich and family: I'm so so sorry for your loss. I know that we will remember Jason's well-lived life. I personally will remember how he made an impact on my life in an unexpected way. I still remember his very competitive and very organized manner of competing in the Pretty Darn Good Race. My sister and I still talk about Jason and have imitated his verve when it comes to our races. We now make sure that we are organized and have researched our route before a race. We now have both competed in many marathons and other races where we've driven in a car, with a mapped route in our hands, to make sure we get where we're going the fastest way possible. Although Jason didn't follow a route (we didn't know where we were going in the Pretty Darn Good Race), my sister and I did pick up some of Jason's thinking-ahead and organizational skills. Thanks, Jason, for teaching us to be the best competitor we can be, and to love whatever race we're in. You will be missed. Love to his wife and kids, to his sister, and to his wonderful parents,
