Jeanne C. DUBIEF Jeanne Dubief, beloved mother of Marc and Anne; cherished grand mother of André and Simon, and sister of Phil Choquette, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2011, after a long and intensifying illness, at the Highline Medical Center in Burien. Born in Hamilton, New York, and raised there with her brother Phil by their parents Prof. Charles and Lucy Choquette, she had an early exposure to French culture. So it was that she met her future husband Jacques in Tours in the summer of '51, while her college- professor father was on sabbati cal and led a group of college students in France during 1951-52. Jeanne and Jacques fell in love in Tours, eventually married in Paris the following spring, and lived in Cincinnati, the Sacramen to area, and finally Normandy Park near Seattle, until Jacque's untimely death there in 1988. Jeanne loved classical music from her childhood, the Seattle Opera and theater, and many friends in the Seattle - Normandy Park area. She will be sorely missed, but her memory lives on in those who knew and loved her and shared in her zest for life. More affectionately known to her grandsons as Mémé, Jeanne is survived by her son Marc and his wife Debra, along with their two sons, Jeanne's much-adored grandchildren Andre and Simon, her daughter Anne Green and her husband Walon, and her brother Phil Choquette of Littleton, CO and his family in the Denver area. A memorial service and celebra tion of Jeanne's life will be held at the Normandy Park Congrega tional Church on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at 4:00 in the afternoon. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to the Normandy Park Congregational Church. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

My Dear Mama, I miss you. You were very influential in my life. My love of classical music came from the constant background of Classic KING FM that came from the treasured stereo the Jacques loved. You were my second mother and I loved spending time with you. You taught me much. You will always be treasured.
