Joseph Kremen Obituary

Joseph R. KREMEN Born February 21, 1914 Islip, NY Died March 9, 2011 Seattle, WA Joe was a renaissance man. He could build anything, fix anything and quote Shakespeare. He was an amazing cook and baker and loved to entertain. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. During his career he was a cowboy, owned his own construction company and was an engineer. One of his proudest accomplishments was the Long Beach Boardwalk and Discovery Trail in Long Beach Washington. Joe lived his life with gusto and showed his strength and sense of humor until the end. He is preceded in death by his wife Marjorie, daughter Jill and his brother Erwin. He is survived by his daughter Marsha (partner Jilly), granddaughter Sarah (partner Matt) and beloved great-grandson Adam and his brother Edward. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Seattle Public Library Foundation, Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center or West Seattle Food Bank.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Kremen. I used to see him come in to the West Seattle Library with his wife many a time. He was always pleasant and one of our favorite regulars. My prayers and good wishes for his family.
