Scottsdale, AZ - Joseph Wilson Warmuth, our wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on March 5, 2013 at the age of 84. Born in Portland, Oregon, Joseph spent his college days at the University of Portland and Notre Dame, completing a bachelor's degree in engineering.
He leaves behind his wife, Shirley Warmuth; two daughters, Angela Warmuth and Linda Warmuth; two sons, Christopher Messner and Leo Joseph Warmuth and; two stepsons, Randall Walker and Steven Walker, four grandchildren, Dustin Messner, Ashley Walker, Maya Warmuth, and Cage Warmuth, and five step-grandchildren.
Joseph Warmuth spent many years living in the Seattle area working as an engineer and manager at the Boeing Company for 35 years and then retiring to Arizona.
He could repair anything. he was an advanced master of the glue gun, even using it once to repair a leaky milk carton. He played the piano and sometimes made up his own songs and loved it when other people sang alone. He had a small repertoire of favorite jokes, whose punchlines were known by heart by many.
He was fascinated with physics and real world applications and all the wonders of the world.
He loved gardening and the beauty and detail in flowers. He will be very much missed for all his uniqueness and sense of humor.
