Joyce Eslick Obituary

LTC. Joyce E. ESLICK U.S. Army, Retired Age 81, passed peacefully Dec. 31, 2010. She was born and raised in the Alabama/Tennessee area. 23 years were spent in the Army, serving in Yokohama, Japan; Berlin, Germany; Saigon, Vietnam. Stateside, Col. Eslick was assigned to many areas of responsibility. Her favorite being Commander of the 14th Women's Army Corps Band, Ft. McClellan, AL. Col. Eslick graduated from UW in 1962 and at the same time was the Commanding Officer of the WAC detachment at Ft. Lawton. After retirement in 1973 she returned to Seattle and was co-owner of a private real estate co. Services and interment in Kingston, TN beside her parents. The McCarn, Prigmore, and Heilesen families will miss her. Many thanks to the Queen Anne Healthcare facility and the many skilled, patient, and caring staff that cared for her around the clock.
