Judith Earle Obituary

Judith R. Earle

Judy Earle passed away peacefully the morning of July 31, 2018 at the age of 74 at Wesley Homes in Des Moines WA, surrounded by family, friends, and lots of flowers. Those that knew her well know that her incredibly strong will, perseverance and quiet strength allowed her to enjoy life fully as long as possible in spite of being diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia four years ago.

Born Judith Rae Furro on January 7, 1944, to Irving Morris Furro and Ruth Evangeline Furro, in Tacoma WA, Judy grew up with her family on their farm near Eatonville. She attended Bethel High School along with her sisters Mona and Alice, and graduated at the top of her class. She soon after received a bachelor's degree in foreign language at the University of Washington. She taught high school French within the Highline School district, and was admired by many students. During her teaching career she took students to France six times.

Judy was very involved with the Daughters of Norway, and was president of her Solveig Lodge #31 for several years.

Judy is survived by her husband Richard Earle, sons Jeffrey Earle and Douglas Earle, sister Mona Margolis, and her two nieces Susan Margolis and Sally Margolis.

She has been inspirational to so many people throughout her years, and is missed dearly by family and friends. Please come join us to share the story of her wonderful life, be with family and friends and celebrate an incredible woman.

There will be a Memorial and Celebration of a Wonderful Life, being held on Saturday September 22nd at 2:00pm, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church located at 158 S 168th St,

Burien WA 98148.

Over this most recent summer, Judy put a great deal of effort into her gardening and especially enjoyed caring for her ever growing number of flowers. She created a very uplifting scene in a large yard by doing so.

"When you miss me, go sit within the flowers."

I once prepared some craft lessons for her. Richard was my friend and he asked me to. That was a long time ago. About 1973 is my guess. I loved visiting with them. A few long lost memories for me. So sorry for Richard and the family.
