Kathleen Spradling Obituary

Kathleen (Kathy) Anne SPRADLING Age 86, passed away February 22, 2011 at her home in Ballard Manor. Born 1925 in Escanaba, Michigan, she spent her younger years in the upper mid-west before moving to Seattle in the late 1940's. Kathy loved Ballard and was a longtime resident, moving there in 1963. She was very active in the Ballard Eagles No. 172 Auxiliary, serving as President multiple times and as a State Officer. She was also a member and Past President of the Ballard Elks Emblem Club No. 216. She loved to play and call BINGO, spending many hours at the Ballard Senior Center. But most of all what she really loved was to be hugged, by EVERYBODY!!! She is survived by: daughters, Nancy and Jean;son E.J.; grandchildren, Gary, Kathy, Kevin and Alisa; and 15 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: brothers, Jim, Tom and Mickey; sisters, Marjorie and Judy; husbands, Wayne and Earl. Services will be at Wiggins and Sons, 2003 NW 57th, in Ballard on Friday (today), February 25, 2011 at 3:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Medic One Foundation.

She was a wonderful dancer and great singer. She was so funny and very smart. We will all miss her so much.
