Kathleen (Katey) Cecelia Kennedy born October 19, 1942, to Grace Elizabeth Ottinger and Mitchell Hewitt, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018. Katey had been bravely battling lymphoma and ovarian cancer. She fought with determination and an unfailing sense of humor.

She graduated from Holy Names Academy where she met lifelong friends. Upon graduation at University of Washington, she embarks on her first European trip with friends unlocking her love for travel.

Katey married Colonel James Kennedy in 1975 and settled back in Bellevue. Together they had two children, daughter Meredith and son James. Katey was devoted to caring for her children and was actively involved in their schools.

Katey enjoyed countless trips to Europe with friends and family; most notably was completing the nal stage of the Camino de Santiago in 2007. She served on the board of Holy Names Academy as well as numerous charities and clubs. Her greatest enjoyment was her family and caring for her grandchildren.
