Kathleen Coffin Obituary

Kathleen M. COFFIN Kathleen M. Coffin, passed away February 21, 2011 in West Seattle. She was born to parents Elmer and Elizabeth Jesse on August 25th 1919. Kay, as she was known by her friends, was 91 years of age. Kathleen grew up in West Seattle where she was born and attended Gatewood. James Madison, and West Seattle High School. After leaving school, Kay met and married Earl E. Coffin to whom she was married for over 73 years. Earl and Kay built their own home in West Seattle in 1948, where they raised their three children, Lea Ann, Daniel (Kathy) and Susan (Guy) and entertained their 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Kathleen is survived by her loving family and devoted husband Earl and who still lives in the same home with his daughter they built 62 years ago. Private family services and reception were held at Forest Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum in West Seattle. Remembrances in lieu of flowers may be made to West Seattle Eagles Lodge # 1499 or to Aerie # 2643.
