Kenneth L. CLUCKEY Ken Cluckey passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on June 4, 2011. Kenny will be missed by so many. He brightened the lives of hundreds per week at the Ballard Food Bank for many years. Kenny was the type of person that once you met him, you wished you'd have known him all your life. He was interesting, funny and one of the most compassionate people I have ever met.
When I came to work at Ballard Food Bank, I soon learned that any toys, candy or special kids items went to "Kenny's table" because Kenny so much enjoyed making the kids that came to the food bank feel welcomed and he did. The kids would light up when they saw him and the look on Kenny's face as he would hand them a special treat was priceless. He will be missed, but also fondly remembered.

Uncle Ken;
When I was a child growing up in Colton, Wahsington and then in Moscow, Idaho, I can remember taking a very long trip to Seattle, Wash. to visit Uncle Ken and (then) Aunt Irene and the cousins Gregory, Linda and Kimberly. It was always such a long trip that just seemed to take forever. No matter what time of year or what the weather was like we always stayed right there at the house and we were always welcome. You always made sure that we (kids) had plenty to do to keep us busy and we always had a wonderful time. In the recent years we always looked forward to seeing you at the Family Reunions and greatly enjoyed your company there with your new wife, Faye. Believe me, you will be very missed at future gatherings but just remember that your heart and soul are with us always. God bless you and yours from this day forward.

When I instruct young Soldiers on the virtues of citizenship and what it means to be a good American I use the two greatest influences I've had in my life as examples, Ken Clucky and Sam Bowen. Your stories will live on in the hearts of America's guardians for a long time to come, you will be missed and you will never be forgotten.
I'm really going to miss you Ken, you were always my favorite uncle. Faye and Milly, please accept our deepest sympathies heartfelt condolences for your loss.
With love,
Bob and Morgan.
