I worked with LaVonne at NBofC. She was a beautiful person...kind, funny, smart. When I first met her she was dead set against dogs of any kind. They were not to be in her super clean house! Fast forward, after she married Dell, they acquired Holly and then Benjamin, two gorgeous golden retrievers. The world revolved around these dogs. LaVonne even had portraits painted on them. Talk about a 180° change in doggie attitude.
Tim & I have wonderful memories camping with the Sheltons. LaVonne kept a neat and tidy camp, and she served the BEST meals. She taught me so much. She gave me my very first set of bath towels when I got married 47 yrs ago. I still have them and save them only for special guests. I'm sorry I lost touch but I often thought of her. Thanks to Google I found her. I'm sorry a few years too late, but never forgotten (just wanted the family to know).

I am so sorry to hear of Vonnie's passing.
Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this time.
She was a delightful person and I did
enjoy the time we spent together. Always
cheerful and gracious.

( X-NBC-RNB Newsletter: LaVonne was one of the original employees that established the Washington State Fiscal Agency Department at NBofC in 1971. The department was formed when our bank was awarded the contract to become the paying agent for all municipal bonds sold by the State of Washington and it's municipalities. When I transferred to Corporate Trust as manager of the Fiscal Agency Department in 1972, LaVonne was a world of help to me, the department and the bank. She was a wonderful person and an excellent employee. Jack VanLeuven)
