Lenore Marguarite Downie|
Born in Ketchikan, Alaska in 1918, Lenore died on March 9th after having a stroke. Lenore lived most of her life in Seattle. She was happily married to Clarence Downie for 46 years and they had three children, Lenore C., Pamela, and Kimball. Lenore was an active supporter of womens rights and a member of N.O.W. She was also a member of Childrens Orthopedic Guild. Other interests included reading, playing bridge, and traveling.
Her last years were spent on Vashon Island in an assisted living facility. She enjoyed an active life, participating in a variety of activities with many friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Dawdy, two grandchildren, Andrew and Elisabeth, and two great-grandchildren.
