Lorene Drussell Obituary

Lorene Virginia DRUSSELL Lorene was born on Feb 3, 1918 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Charles Raymond Kirk and Norma Violet (Outzen) Meyer. She grew up in Davenport, Pontiac, MI and Waukesha WI. She completed her junior year at Univ. of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and left in 1937 to elope and marry Victor E. Drussell. They were married 60 years until his death in 1997. They lived in Milwaukee & Kenosha, WI and Terre Haute, IN and in 1951 moved with their daughters to Seattle. Lorene is survived by her brother Julian "Bud" (Choon) Meyer, three nieces and their families. Daughters, Susan Drussell Peterson and Marie Drussell. Three grandchildren; Vicky Peterson, great-granddaughter Monique (Brandon) Bale, Ed Peterson and Dan (Angie Chinn) Peterson. Lorene was a past Worthy Matron of Rada Uphus OES and a lifetime member of Lei Aloha Lodge, Honolulu, HI. She was a retail clerks union member, a Girl Scout leader instructor and a volunteer Seattle school math tutor. She passed away peacefully in Seattle on March 27, 2011. Private services were held.
