Lydia Wang Obituary

Lydia S.C.Y. WANG Our beloved mother and grandmoth er passed away on April 8, 2011 at the age of 92. Born in Changsha, China, she re ceived a Bachelor's Degree from Tsing Hua University in China, Bachelor's Degree from Emporia State Teacher's College in KS, and received Masters Degrees of Educa tion and English from the University of Washington. She was an Elemen tary School Teacher for Seattle Pub lic Schools for 24 years. Member of Washington Retired Teachers Assn., S.T.A., W.E.A., and N.E.A. Pre-de ceased by her beloved husband Percy in 1989, she is survived by daughters, Xiao-Song Wang (Xiao- Zhang), Shirley DeMuth (Dick Law rence), Fanny Wang, and son, Gor don Wang (Lise); grandchildren, James, Taylor, Lauren, Hai-Yan & Fan-Fan; great-grandchildren, Ming-Xing & Mei-Chi. The family deeply appreciates the care of Laila, Venancio & staff of Angelina's Place and also Group Health Hospice dur ing Lydia's last months.
