Margaret A. McKENZIE 10/10/1919 ~ 5/3/2012 Margaret was born in Everett, WA to Roy M. and Frances Pettersen. Margaret was proud and loved to tell stories about her many careers. At age 15 she started at a 5 and Dime Store in Bellingham, worked at the SanDiego Naval Base, Signal Oil, and was an Accountant at Northern Commercial in Seattle for 26 years. She married Dayton (Mac) in 1950 and they resided in Edmonds. Margaret is preceded in death by husband, Dayton (Mac) McKenzie, Brother, Leroy (Pete) Pettersen and Grandsons; Dan and Mark McKenzie. She is survived by Step Son, Walter McKenzie, Sister in Law, Kay Pettersen, Nephews; Gary, Glen, Eric Pettersen and Niece, Christina Yourglich. Margaret will be greatly missed and remembered for her quick wit and many tall tales. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 12th at 1:00 p.m. at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills Chapel, 409 Filbert Road, Lynnwood.
