Margaret DeYoung Ripley

Margaret DeYoung RIPLEY Born 8-24-21 in Andover, South Dakota to the late Martin Roel and Margaret (Kraai) DeYoung, Margaret died March 14th. She moved with her family to Long Beach, California when she was nine years old, and met her husband Jack while working as a 'Rosie the Riveter' in WWII. They married in 1944 and moved to Seattle in 1950, where they subsequently lived in the Queen Anne, Wedgwood, and West Seattle neighborhoods. She is predeceased by her husband Jack, her sister Genevieve, and her daughter Pat. Margaret is survived by her son Rick, his wife Sarah Garcia-Mata, their children Francisco, Austin, and Santiago, and her brothers Pete and Dean. Everyone who knew Margaret will remember her ability to generate and nurture friendship, love, and laughter. At her request, no services will be held.
