Margaret Moxon Obituary

Margaret L. MOXON Margaret L. Moxon died in Seattle on Sunday, June 28, 2009, at the age of 93. She was born on August 31, 1915 in Burke, South Dakota, to Ivyl and Dora Bruner. She grew up in Geddes, South Dakota and received a Bachelor's degree from Wayne State Teacher's College in Nebraska and a Masters degree from the University of Minnesota. She graduated from high school at the age of 15 and received her first teaching certificate at the age of 17. She taught school in Faith, Spearfish, Wessington Springs, Redfield, and Huron, SD. Margaret was the head librarian at Huron High School for 20 years until her retirement in 1983. She married Vernon Moxon on June 8, 1941. They were married 55 years until his death on October 31, 1996. Margaret was preceded in death by her son, Major Arthur L. Moxon (Colleen), in 1981; her husband, Vernon, in 1996; and her daughter, Susan A. Moxon Sullivan (Tom), in 2001. She is survived by her son, Keith Moxon (Soona) in Seattle, WA, her former daughter-in-law, Colleen Denny (Robert) in Colorado Springs, CO, her former son-in-law, E. Thomas Sullivan (Leslie) in Minneapolis, MN, and her six grandchildren: Michael Moxon (Beth) in Tokyo, Japan; Timothy Moxon (Jennifer) in Carlsbad, CA; Chris Denny in Portland, OR; and Steffanie, Anne, and Kevin Moxon in Seattle, WA.
