Marguerite Shillinglaw Obituary

Marguerite "Peggy" (Sheehan) SHILLINGLAW Peggy passed away peacefully on May 7, 2011 with her family at her side. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Born Sept. 2, 1920 in Seattle, she lived her entire life in the Wallingford area. Peggy was a life-long member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church. A 1937 graduate of Lincoln High School, she then enrolled at Seattle College and Providence Hospital graduating in 1942 with a B.S. in Nursing. She worked at Providence Hospital and later at NW Hospital. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert (2007), alsoher brother Don (2002). She is survived by her children Michael (Annabelle), Janet, Linda Lukevich (Peter). She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren who all brought her great joy. Also survived by 2 sisters, Naoma (Jack) & Trudy (Tom) and many nieces and nephews. The family extends their gratitude to the Benedetto Family and staff at MorningSide Residence for their loving care of Peggy this past year and also to Providence Hospice for their care and support the past 2 months. Recitation of the Rosary, Friday, May 13, 7:00 p.m. & Funeral Mass,Saturday, May 14, 11:00 a.m. both at St. Benedict's Church, 49th & Wallingford, Seattle. Remembrances to the Hope Heart Institute, Bellevue, WA or Providence Hospice of Seattle.

Dear Shillinglaw/Sheehan/and Lukevich Families,

I will miss Peggy's mega-watt smile. What a kind, wonderful, woman. I know that she is with the angels. Thank you for your kindness to my Mom Vivian when visiting. May wonderful memories of time spent with Peggy comfort you now and in the future.
