Marie Giffin Obituary

Marie Joyce GIFFIN Marie Joyce (Masquat) Giffin, born in Red Lake Minnesota September 7, 1935, passed away peacefully at home on March 29, 2011. Marie served in the United States Air Force, where she met and married Staff Sargent Dallas N. Giffin from Hagerstown Maryland. She was an original "supermom" involved with her children and community while working full time, first for Highline School District, and then for the State of Washington, Department of Social and Health Services. Marie will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, grace and great sense of humor, as well as her devotion to her family and friends. Her kitchen table was a place people came for friendship and an endless cup of strong Seattle coffee. She is survived by her devoted son Garret Giffin and loving daughter-in-law Vikki, who provided care for her through her long illness, and her daughter, Laura Giffin Audell M.D., son-in-law Robert Audell M.D. and grandsons Daniel and David of Beverly Hills California. She was predeceased by her husband Dallas, her grandson Blake Parker Giffin, and her sister Rosalie Ann (Masquat) Lane. Please visitwww.yahnandson.com if you have a memory to share with the family.
