Martin (Marty) Ulrich Obituary
Martin (Marty) Ulrich

Martin (Marty) Ulrich returned to the Lord on October 19, 2013

Born March 22, 1938 - Seattle WA.

Marty grew up and attended St. George's, O'Dea and Cleveland High School. He was a successful athlete as a baseball pitcher and football tackle "#34" for the Cleveland Eagles. His love of car racing in E/Gas class with his beloved Oldsmobile led him to his career as an owner/operator of a full service station on Mercer Island for the past 50 years. Marty has passed on his legacy to his family that is still in operation. He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Darlene. Children: Diana (Jim) Workman, Martin (Marty Jr.), David (Julie), Dan (Susan). His cherished 15 Grandchildren and 1 Great-grandchild.

After retirement, Marty moved from his home in Renton where he and his wife raised their children to his beloved home on Whidbey Island. He took pride in building his beach home from ground up after purchase in 1967. His greatest pleasures were baking in his "famous" pizza oven. He loved being outdoors and working in his fabulous yard growing his prized dahlias. He enjoyed his wooded 10 acres chopping wood & building fires with his grandchildren.
