Mary Agnes McCANN, nee Zeiser Born November 25, 1923 in Cincinnati, Ohio; died peacefully on the afternoon of April 19, 2012 in Seattle. Mary Ag graduated from Seton High School and completed a Business Administration program at the University of Cincinnati. She was a devoted wife and mother. She and her husband, Tom, were married for 47 years until his death in 1993. They raised their 5 children and 2 nephews in Seattle (Capitol Hill) and Bainbridge Island before retiring to beautiful Whidbey Island. Their homes were the center of gatherings with family and friends. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Carol Arkinstall (Gary), Richard McCann, David McCann, Marguerite Warhol (Christopher); nephew, David Dolde, niece, Karen Johnson Dolde, niece, Trish Rafa; grandchildren, Elissa Arkinstall Upreti (Priyesh), Reid Arkinstall (Kendra Samson), Justin McCann (Kelli Santler), and Hailey Warhol; grand nieces, Meg and Anna Dolde; great grandchildren Brianna and Thomas McCann II and many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas O. McCann; son, Thomas F. McCann; nephew, Steven E. Dolde and her sisters, Marjorie Blind (William) and Bernice Plummer (Thomas). Mary Ag was a devoted Catholic, a committed and caring participant in church and school activities, who lived her life in service to her family, friends and community. After 20 years as a mother and homemaker, Mary Ag began her fulfilling career as a tax accountant, serving many clients for decades until her retirement in 1990. Mary Ag loved the company of her family and friends. She enjoyed music and dancing, playing golf and bridge, travel, sewing, long beach walks, and a day at the horse races. Alzheimer's disease made her world smaller, but she still had a warm and loving smile for all who cared for her and visited. Her family wishes to give special thanks to Leonila Villaflor, Macario Villaflor, Kim Villaflor and Meddi Kelklie, who cared for her with love and compassion these past 5 years. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, May 3, 2012, at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Church, 723 18th Ave E, Seattle, WA 98112. Interment to follow at a later date, Bayview Cemetery, Whidbey Island.
