Mary E. PILLAR Oct. 20, 1920 ~ Jan. 7, 2008 Mary was born in Hastings, Minnesota. She passed away peacefully after a brief illness. She recently returned to Seattle after living in Sun Lakes, Arizona for 24 years. She will always be remembered as a beautiful, fun-loving person who loved her family and friends. She was an excellent bridge player and enjoyed playing golf. In 1964 she married Max Pillar. Max was well known in Seattle for his "big band" sound. His orchestra played for many Seattle formal affairs. They had 38 wonderful years together, traveling and enjoying their many friends and family. Mary is survived by her daughters, Karen McDonald, and Sharon Davis and her husband, Skip Davis; her son, Michael Charles and his wife, Pat. She leaves behind five grieving grandchildren, Maggie Fields, Charlie McDonald, Linsay Ince, Zach Davis, and Heather Wells. She had two great grandchildren: Jackson Fields and Joe Henry McDonald. She is also survived by three brothers: Jerry, Tom and Jimmy Harris of Minnesota. A special thanks to her care-giver, Rose, for her TLC. There will be a Memorial Service in late February in Sun Lakes, Arizona. We miss you so much Mom - you will remain in our hearts forever. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
