Mary French Obituary

Mary Ellen (Kenny, Roberts) FRENCH Mary Ellen passed away March 25, 2011 at the age of 88. She was born February 27, 1923 in Pocatello, Idaho to Dan and Kathryn Kenny. She attended Holy Names Academy, graduating in 1940. Mary spent her working years with Prudential Insurance, while at the same time raising a family. In 1979 she married Earnest French, and retired from Prudential in 1985. They lived in Edmonds, wintered in Apache Junction, AZ, and eventually settled in Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island. Mary was preceded in death by husband Al Roberts, son Dick Roberts, brothers Dan and Pat Kenny, and sister Kathryn McCabe. She is survived by husband Earnie, daughters Punki Hofman (George), Mickey McCormick (Ed), Eileen Rudnick, and Pat Johnsen (Herb). Mary also had twelve grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, along with many loving nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held at: Saint Mary Catholic Church, 207 N. Main St. Coupeville, WA 98239 at noon on Thursday, March 31. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Disabled American Veterans.
