Melvin King Obituary

Melvin James KING January 2, 1918 ~ February 25, 2011 Melvin James King, 93 years old, was born in Seattle, Washington to James Henry King and Susie Emma Diener. He passed away with his loving wife beside him. He is survived by his wife Mary; his step-children Joseph, Linda, Vicki and Paul and by his two brothers, Dr. Norman and Joye King of Lodi, California, Vernon and Arlene King of Kelso, Washington; nephews Brian and Jerry, niece Sandra, and many great-nieces and nephews. Melvin retired from Burlington Northern Railroad after 39 years with the Operating Department. He served in World War II and belonged to VFW Post 4137. A celebration of his life will be held today, March 2nd from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Post VFW # 4137, 9408 Lake City Way, Seattle 98115.

To Our Beloved Sister, Mary,
Rainier VFW Post #2289 & Ladies Auxiliary send our sympathy & prayers to you and your family at this time on the last of your beloved Mel. Our heart goes out to you at this time and only wish we had known so we could have been there with you. He was a good man and wonderful friend to us all. Our love goes to you and your family knowing that Mel will always be with you. You will never walk alone. We are here for you as are the members of #4137.
