Mel and I joined SPD at the same time. In fact, Mel was one academy class ahead of me. If the family is interested; I have a photo of Mel, myself, and another Officer standing a post at 4th & Battery St just out side the Fire Station at the Seafair Parade. We hadn't been through Academy yet..Just three Rookies looking forward to a great career..
Rest in Peace my friend..
