Merv,
You were always a ray of sunshine and happiness during the time I spent with you and your family. You could brighten up any day or moment. I see you smiling right now when I close my eyes. Your house was like a second home when I was in college, and your family made me feel like I was one of the crowd. I enjoyed all the time I spent with you and Ruth and everyone! My deepest sympathies go out to your family as I know they will miss you terribly! Knowing you has made my life richer and I will always cherish my memories of you!

Jude and I have always enjoyed dancing with Merv & Ruth. Even with goofy act, he always knew where he was supposed to be. I never had the opportunity to work with Merv Professionally, knew he was gifted. Love, Art and Jude

I am so glad Grumpy had me talk to Uncle Merv on the phone the last time he was here to visit. Do you know what he talked about? Mount Rainier and enjoyng every minute with my boys. What wisdom and sunshine. What a talent for making others happy and being selfless. Love you, Uncle Merv and Aunt Ruth! <3

We'll miss seeing your youthful grin as you and Polaris would pass us by racing on the Tuesday evening Duck Dodges. We'll always remember you. Ken and Jean

Merv I certainly hope they have Hobie Cats in heaven because my favorite memories of you are of you and Stan coming ashore after a race with that wonderful goofy grin standing up holding on to the shroud. You were larger than life in the Hobie world when I first got involved and I will never forget you. Fair winds.

We miss you Mervie and all the great times we had together, camping, hiking, skiing, traveling. The hiking we did with you and Ruth and your love for the beauty of the Northwest is always present with us. Because of you & Ruth we became square dancers and Stan loves it as you said he would. We will miss the card playing and Stan and you arguing on how an airplane flys--but who cares as long as you were both talking! You & Ruth have been wonderful friends for both of us and our love will always be there for you both, that will never go away. Enjoy your next adventure, as we are sure you will!!

I miss you everyday Grandpa but your words and memories are always running through my head. I love your energy and your ability to make any situation an experience no one would expect. I love you so much and am so thankful that I was blessed to have you as my grandfather, and such a large part of my life.
