Dale, Trudy, Ted & Heidi:
I will miss Millie. She was a vibrant and very talented woman. She taught me many things about sewing, knitting and cooking. She tried to teach me about gardening but I wasn't so good at that! I loved having dinner at her house because I knew it would always be different and always delicious. I will never forget the time my boss at Harborview was going to play a joke on someone and knowing that I sewed, he asked me to make a nurse's cap for him. He printed a pattern off the internet and thought it would be no problem for me to make this cap. Of course, I had not a clue how to do it so where did I go -- to Millie's house! Thanks to Millie (and Dale) we sewed up the nurse's cap that evening and I gave it to my boss the next day! I am thankful for the memories that my children and I have of all the holiday dinners and special occasions at the lake. Thankfully, I also have pictures from these events. May you all find comfort in these memories during your time of grief.
Love, Kathy Steen
