Nancy Brier RYBOCK Age 75, passed away peacefully April 25, 2012. Born Sept. 15, 1936 in Seattle, WA, she was the daughter of noted author Howard M. Brier and Grace Kjelstad Brier. Nancy had been ill for many years after suffering a debilitating stroke in 2000. Still, she was an inspiration to all who knew her by showing her determination to live a full life in face of overwhelming adversity. Mrs. Rybock taught school in the Seattle district for over 30 years, first at Eckstein Jr. High, and then Ingraham and Franklin High School. A fantastic mother and world traveler, Nancy loved outdoor activities, especially golf, skiing, and fishing. She was a lifelong NE Seattle resident and only recently moved to Lynnwood due to care needs. She leaves behind her two sons, Paul (Idaho Falls, ID) and Kenneth (Seattle), two nieces, Lynn Dela Cruz (Jacksonville, FL) and Karin Brier (Missoula, MT). Preceded in death by her husband Peter (2001) and brother Warren (1988). She was a graduate of Roosevelt HS and the UW. No service per request.
