Nancy Metzinger Simonds|
1921 ~ 2012
Nancy went to her next exciting adventure on Nov. 14th, just a few months shy of her 92nd birthday. She was born and lived in St. Louis, then made her way to Kansas City, Cape Cod and Seattle, while out-living three husbands. An enthusiastic lover of life, she made new friends every day and truly loved the beauty of the natural world. She would venture outside to look at the full or crescent moon at any hour if alerted. She gardened and bird-watched and quilted with joy. Loved and missed by her daughter and caregiver, Laurie Metzinger of Seattle. Also survived by a son Rick Metzinger of Boston, and step-daughter Addie Soule of Vermont, and seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Pet a dog or cat for her today, or just say "Hi" to the person in line next to you. I love you Mom, you were the best. Thanks to our Evergreen Hospice team, who helped keep her here at home as long as possible. No services.
A celebration of her life will be held after the holidays.
