Naomi Ruth Gilbert

Naomi Ruth GILBERT March 20, 1918 ~ March 21, 2011 Naomi Ruth Gilbert was born March 20, 1918 to loving parents Roy and Lelah Mae Sheppard Bebout in Lovilia, Iowa, where she spent her early years before moving to Hutchinson, Kansas. She graduated from Emporia State Teachers College and served as a high school English teacher in Kansas, New Mexico, California, and Washington. Naomi married her childhood sweetheart, Wynford George Gilbert, in Anthony, Kansas. They were blessed with three children-Sandra Helene, David George, and Stephen Wyn. Wynford preceded her in death in 1986. Wyn was a Presbyterian clergyman. Naomi was church organist in Coulee City, Vancouver, and Seattle, Washington in churches Wyn pastored. Naomi is survived by her three children, six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held.
