Dear Suzy, Matthew and Andrew,
I received the news today of Neii's passing. I first met him nearly 17 years ago when I opened my store in LaConner. He had been the only rep that I had had continuously for those 17 years. He was always telling me what his boys were up to and how Suzy spoiled them. I could see in his eyes the love he had for his family. He was a very special person. He knew of my own health issues and on several occasions came to my house in Anacortes to place orders so I didn't have to drive to my store in LaConner, would call to see how I was doing or send me one of his funny e-mails. He always had a smile, and sense of humor. He always said what an inspiration I was to him but in reality he was the inspiration. When I spoke with him last he sounded good and I thought maybe he had turned the corner. Several months ago he sent me a big can of popcorn, I returned the favor after I broke a tooth on it. We had a great laugh over it. He will be greatly missed by me and my staff. He thought so much of all of you. It is just so hard to imagine him gone. (I just found out today, April 1st and I have had many tears over his passing). I have a Relay for Life team in Anacortes and have made a $200 donation in is name along with two luminaries. He is one person I will never forget and am grateful I was able to know him for those 17 years. I really felt he was my friend. My deepest sympathy to your family, you will be in my thoughts and prayers as was Neil. With my deepest sympathy, Lisa - Bears 'N Friends, La Conner.

Dear Suzy,
Neil was such an amazing and inspirational man. He lived his life to the fullest, loved you and was so proud of the boys and the dog!! He died as he lived, courageously and with humor. I will miss seeing him on the Harley as he drove up to the Black Diamond Bakery with his friends and conspirators. He always made a point to stop in the shop to say hi and give us all a hug. He was a great friend, business man and person and for that we all will truly miss him. We, at Leih's Gifts, will miss his sense of humor and are with you in prayer during this great time of sorrow. We love you because he loved you, God Bless you dauuulings. Leih

Dear Suzy,
I knew Neil from Bearington...I was one of the customer service reps...he was always the best person to talk to...so much fun and great sense of humor, loved to hear about the motorcycles, was such an honorable and decent man and stuck up for his customers like there was no tomorrow. Sent the best email jokes, and the "Goldens" Holiday cards!!!! My love and prayers for you and your family. I spoke to him several times since I quit in July...he was the best!!!
