Orville E. Sherrard

Orville E. SHERRARD Orville passed away peacefully on March 5, 2011 at UW Medical Center from complications of stroke. He was 84. Born in Seattle on January 11, 1927, he graduated from Franklin High School and attended the University of Wash ington. A World War II Veteran, Orville served three years in the U.S. Army as a mechanic, having spent time in Germany. He also served an additional three years in the Air Corps Reserves. Orville worked as an electrician for The Boeing Company, retiring in 1993. He is survived by cousins Peggy Perez Bartholomew of Snohomish, Michael and Dennis Perez of Port Orchard, Cliff Per ez of Lake Stevens and Patrick Perez of Buckley. Orville was preceeded in death by his mother, Amelia Gangle Sherrard Man dick, step-father Steve Mandick and aunt Beverly Sherrard Per ez. Orville was a live-long lover of ballroom dancing and was a very accomplished Latin dancer. He especially loved Flamenco and Argentine Tango and spent time in Argentina studying Tango. He and his dance partners per formed at various venues, win ning many honors and awards over the years. A Celebration of Orville's Life will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, April 19 at Ida Culver House- Ravenna, 2315 NE 65th Street, Seattle, WA 98115.
