Ottilie Lois (Rothweiler) Henze|
Age 91, died June 23, 2013 in Bellevue, Washington. Mrs. Henze was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, graduated from North Division High School in Milwaukee and trained at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago in pediatric nursing. Her career took her from Wisconsin to Miami and Los Angeles and her 52-year marriage to Kurt H. Henze, who preceded her in death, brought her back from California to the Midwest until their move to Bellevue in 1964.
Mrs. Henze, an avid Anglophile, loved to read, garden, swim and travel. She enjoyed extensive correspondence with the many friends she made in Hawaii, Canada and Europe and frequently returned to Milwaukee, when she was able, to visit her family and maintain her early friendships by attending her grade school and high school reunions.
She is survived by her daughter Shelley Henze Schermer and son Kurt F. Henze of Kirkland and Bellevue, respectively, sister Eunice (John) Paulin of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, her late sister June Brown's children Michael Henning and Mary Brown and their families in Wisconsin, as well as many of the babies and children she cared for and their parents who became her extended family.
