I still miss this very special woman. She was always interested in what I was doing and made me feel valued. I know her loved ones must still feel the loss and should know they are not alone.

On behalf of the UW Faculty Auxiliary I would like to express my sincerest condolences. Pat was a life-long, active and loyal member of the UWFA. As its president she also was an influential member and helped shape its direction and policies. She will be missed in our Circle of Friendship at the Past Presidents Luncheons and her friends in the International Dining Interest Group will miss her, as do we all who have known her.
Hers was a life well lived!
Sincerely yours
Dagmar Shannon

We have known Pat & Dave since the 1970s. They were a mainstay of our UW Faculty Auxiliary Gourmet Group (later known as International Dining). We so enjoyed their humor, kindheartedness, good cooking, and tales of their travels. Pat always asked about our daughter, who now lives in Green Bay, where Pat once taught.
We will miss her high spirit.
Our thoughts are with Becky, Katie, and families.

I did not have the privilege of knowing Pat or her husband, Dave Fischbach. They certainly were an inspiring couple; quirky and creative folk who lived full lives and left a legacy of high endeavor and down-to-earth humanitarianism. I know them through stories told by their youngest daughter who reflects the best of both. (If I have constructed a run-on sentence, I beg Pat's forgiveness.) RIP Mrs. Fischbach, and may your spirit soar with the wind.

I always looked forward to seeing Pat at our AAUW small group, "Circle of Friends". She had tales of her most recent trip with her sweet husband and the adventures they shared. Pat was very proud of her children and grandchildren and we were kept informed as to all of their wonderful accomplishments. Photos were regularly shared as well.
Pat was generous with compliments and was always very positive and caring when we talked about our various members. When she could no longer attend our monthly meetings she was sorely missed. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
