Patrick Humphrey Carroll|
Patrick Humphrey Carroll passed into heaven 3/2/2013. Born to Irish immigrants Cornelius Carroll and Grace O'Sullivan here in Seattle on March 4, 1930, the youngest of 5. His mother passed 2 months later of TB. His father dutifully raised his 5 children in West Seattle. Pat attended Holy Rosary School, worked alongside his family in their Christmas tree selling business for years on California Ave.
At 15 he acquired a lung infection which took 2/3 of his left lung. Not letting that slow him down he moved with his father and siblings to CA for 4 years then the Northwest pulled him back. Worked Elliott Bay Plywood 1951 -1966 and then in 1966 to Seattle School District in the Custodial Dept., retiring in 1996.
In 1962 he met and married Nora Miller having 2 sons Cornelius Carroll (Kelly) and Patrick G. Carroll (Edie).
Then in 1977 he married Nancy Stretton of Shoreline blending families with Kathi Perkins (Bob), Bob Stretton, Brenda Elliott (Michael), Barbie Poole (Dave), Stephanie Thynes (Chuck), Carla Weldon (Mark) and Scott Stretton(Erin).
He is preceded in death by Nora and Nancy but leaves behind these 9 plus 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
We loved him so much and are thankful God gave him to us all these years!
