Pete Lopez, 91, of Kent, WA passed away peacefully in his home on February 4th, 2013.
Pete was born in Imperial, California on April 14th, 1921 to Josefa Lopez and Luis Estrada. He soon moved to Montana, where he met the love of his life, Rose Diaz. The two were married on July 19, 1940 and raised a family of five.
Pete retired from Jorgenson's Steel in 1983. He enjoyed playing the guitar, dancing, and gardening; but above all he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Lopez; his sisters: Carmen Diaz, Irene DelVillar and Francis Cardenas; his children: Julian and Betty Lopez, Luis and Mary Lopez, Tony and April Lopez, Lisa and Kip Hilson and Loisa and Rob Wiseman, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and cousins.
A rosary will be held at Marlatt Funeral Home in Kent, WA on February 8th at 7pm. Viewing will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Kent, WA on February 9th at 11AM, with mass starting at 12 noon and reception after. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Federal Way, WA.
